Join Jean Houston Monday for “Every Day Life as a Heroic Journey”
Please join us this Monday, February 6th at 5:30 PM Pacific, for a special Beyond Awakening live broadcast with Jean Houston, one of the foremost visionary women of our time, and one of the principal founders of the Human Potential Movement.

Jean and I both have observed that this is a uniquely challenging and creative time for many of our friends and students. Accordingly we both feel called to explore the Hero’s Journey that is often unfolding unseen, in the midst of the process of people’s everyday lives, moment-to-moment. When people connect with this, they also clarify something about their life’s purpose and personal destiny, not just as some glorious possibility in the future, but as a tangible reality that is always “right here, right now.”
That’s why we’re entitling this conversation, “Every Day Life as a Heroic Journey“.
Join me for this conversation with the wise and vibrant Jean Houston. Jean exemplifies the embodiment of a deep living engagement with the physical, mental, and emotional, worlds, the kind of awakeness it takes to live a heroic life. We will engage in this field of heightened awareness to bring the heroic back from far away times and places, imbuing the present moment with myth, and opening us to the kind of every day heroism that is necessary for every one of us if we, as a species, are going to evolve.

Jean Houston PhDs., a worthy heroine, tells us we could grow by making good use of our most horrible blunders. You know. The ones that cause us the most terrible and lasting pain? The ones that we at least partially cause with our most despised character traits? Perhaps when we bottom out we could allow God to blow us off course into uncharted waters. Maybe that’s where we need to be to grow.
Jean lets us know that it is at best awkward playing the role of human with three brains. Our reptile brain fears and helps keep us alive. Our mammal brain wants relationship and helps keep us connected. Our human brain wonders and can help us serve God’s wonderful and horrible world well.
If we find our self locked in the belly of the whale Jean suggests we become part of a healing and serving community and exercise.
God may come to us in the form of a transformational relationship and/or community. http://evolvingwisdom.com/jeanhouston/yourlifepurpose/enroll
I did not know that Jean knew and understood Saint Mother Teresa quite well. Mother was married to Jesus. She saw him behind the eyes of every suffering being who crossed her path. So she tried to help rather than harm. Even when the love and comfort of Jesus was lost to her view she still tried to help rather than harm. We could use more people like her in our world and community.
Thank you Jean and Terry
